沒有RSS，Google就不夠Cool

Yahoo!與MSN相繼在各自的新/舊Application上加入RSS功能。Yahoo!在Toolbar及Mobile Portal都加上了RSS，而MSN呢就加了RSS閱讀器。Google的新動作Google News Cutsomisation呢，卻沒有RSS令人十分失望。

為甚麼強要將三大公司的新服務拿來比較RSS支援呢？這不是勉強嗎？

在我的角度來看，現在Yahoo!與MSN比Google的優勢就是RSS。不讚同嗎？這幾年RSS的應用將會越來越厲害，Podcast之後，又來了Appcast。RSSCalendar、NNTP2RSS，甚至有不少Search Engine可以將Search Result輸出成RSS。

既然Google的使命是將資訊好好整理，那為何不使用RSS來管理資訊呢？雅虎奇摩的新聞已經支援RSS，Google就連美國總部也不能使用RSS。其實Google應用RSS的可能性很多，Search、News、Group等等。

當資訊不斷澎漲時，我們就不能單單使用一個DHTML的Customisation介面來管理所有資訊。那時，不支援RSS，不單不夠Cool，還會令他們的用戶不支負荷呢。
